My husband and I were having a rare kid-free cuppa at a cafe by the beach… well not for long! This young little magpie decided to join us. He was actually quite polite as far as magpies go. So I decided to paint him!
I used a lovely natural linen canvas to paint a textured acrylic wash as the background, leaving parts of the linen showing through. I love the effect that this made and I think it suits the magpie’s personality so well!
